Getting Started

Name Servers

The welcome letter we sent you contained information about the name servers you should be using. In case you misplaced that letter, here is the name server information:

Go to your domain name registrar's site and point your domain name to the name servers listed above. In most cases you will need only the server name, not the IP address. If your registrar makes it difficult to make DNS changes, you can transfer your domain name to our registration service at http://pittsites.net/ and we'll make the changes for you.

Server Access Prior To Domain Name Propagation

It can take up to 72 hours before you can access your new server using the domain name. Until you can access the server using your domain name, some things will not work, including e-mail; however, you can access your server using the following IP address:

69.56.183.114

For FTP access, the host address is the IP address show above. Use the user name and password that were provided to you, and place your files in the public_html directory.

The URL for your cPanel is :  http://ipaddress/cpanel/. At the prompt, enter your username and password.

The URL for your site is:  http://ipaddress/~username/. Be sure to use a tilde (~) before the username and end the URL with a trailing slash.
